Powering an economic engine for Vermont—and beyond

There’s a reason why more than half of NuHarbor Security employees are Champlain College graduates. When the Colchester-based cybersecurity startup launched in 2014, it needed a skilled, reliable workforce. So the growing company partnered with Champlain to develop internships and programming to prepare students to join their fast-paced team.

At Champlain, we want our students to have transformative, career-focused experiences that encourage them to stay and work in communities that need their energy, passion, and talents.

OPPORTUNITY Needs

Your support will strengthen Champlain’s partnerships with industry and state government leaders and launch students into meaningful careers through:

An Innovation Hub at Champlain’s Lakeside campus that will be the epicenter for the College’s industry partnerships. The Innovation Hub will build on the Stiller School of Business and expand the Leahy Center for Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, creating new teaching laboratories, industry spaces, and fabrication workshops where students and faculty can bring their entrepreneurial ideas to life and collaborate with some of Vermont’s most innovative companies.

A Career Services Hub that will take Champlain’s distinctive career center to the next level, with collaborative spaces where student and faculty teams can work on projects with local entrepreneurs.

Expanded Industry Partnerships to build reliable pipelines of diverse talent for Vermont’s high-growth industries through a suite of engagement opportunities—including Champlain College Online Programs designed to meet the needs of corporate partners.

Experiential Learning, from internships to capstone projects to co-curricular experiences that bring students into the workplace and support them with structured faculty and supervisor mentorship.

Our partnership highlights a shared mission between Champlain and Hula to create economic and entrepreneurial opportunities in Vermont.
