Founded in 1878, Champlain College has been building better futures for students for nearly 150 years. Established during the era of steam engines, Champlain has continually innovated to meet the needs of its community.

Today Champlain is a leader in career-focused learning, offering nationally recognized, campus-based programs in cybersecurity, game production, filmmaking, and business, and more than 60 online degrees.

Now we’re embarking on the most ambitious campaign in our history, powered by a different kind of STEAM—the science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics fields that will prepare students for better futures in the 21st century and beyond.

Our commitment to students: a radically pragmatic educational model that prepares graduates who are Ready. Ready for work in fast-growing industries that are hungry for diverse talent. Ready for life as adults who are financially literate and can manage their careers. Ready to make a difference in their careers, their communities, and the world.

That’s why our campaign is charging Full STEAM Ahead to raise $75 million from friends, families, foundations, corporate partners, and graduates for three key priorities:

1. Innovation: The expansion of our Lakeside campus will transform the Burlington waterfront, integrating the College into the city’s vibrant ecosystem of entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders. At the same time, we’re developing new academic programs in STEAM to give students the technical and the human skills critical for tomorrow’s high-tech industries.
   
2. Opportunity: We’re doubling down on our promise to be an engine of opportunity in Vermont through the creation of an Innovation Hub that will partner with industry and government leaders to create transformative experiences for students and grow the diverse talent pipelines employers need to thrive.
   
3. Community: Through scholarships and a renewed commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and wellness, we’re investing in the students, faculty, and staff who help Champlain live its motto every day: Let Us Dare.
