Helping Champlain’s students, faculty, and staff thrive

The Champlain experience is changing lives for students every day—and helping to keep diverse talent in Vermont.

Scholarships are key to supporting a talented and inclusive community at Champlain. But they’re just the start. Everything Champlain does—including its innovative academic programs and its ability to fuel economic opportunity throughout the region—depends on the people who make this College a great place to live, work, and learn.

That’s why Champlain is investing in a strong culture—on campus and online—that fosters diversity, inclusivity, belonging, and the health and wellness of all students, faculty, and staff.

COMMUNITY Needs

Your support for the community of Champlain students, faculty, and staff will:

Strengthen Scholarships through endowed need-based financial aid, new scholarships for cohorts of students pursuing STEAM majors, funds for study-abroad participants, and increased access to funds for students experiencing short-term financial hardship. The Vermont First-Generation scholarship will serve as a magnet for talent by becoming a full-tuition scholarship for Vermont students.

Support Student Success and Wellbeing by investing in mental health support for students and funding pilot programs, such as a new orientation program for first-year students that prepares them for social, academic, and personal success in college.

Bolster Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging by building the infrastructure and supports that will enable sustained recruitment, access, and mentorship of underrepresented groups across the campus.

Invest in Champlain’s Faculty and Staff by supporting the growth and development of Champlain’s workforce. Much like a committed investment in our students, a concerted effort for faculty and staff will advance our culture of collaboration, innovation, and effectiveness.

Steward Champlain’s Campus Through a Revitalization Fund supporting investment in our student housing and infrastructure to maintain one of the most beautiful campuses in Vermont.

The Single Parent’s Program has allowed me the opportunity to not only achieve my goal of getting a degree, but to do it without the added stress of also working as a solo parent.
